Job Summary

Overview

The purpose of this job description is to define the responsibilities of the Systems Manager. The systems manager assists in the operation of the hospital laboratory by overseeing the operation of the Laboratory Information System (LIS) monitoring through the LIS the performance of the Hospital Information System and assisting in the operation and monitoring of the Ordering Entry System.

  1. A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university A Master Degree is preferred.
  2. At least 2 years of experience working with a laboratory information system.
  3. Be able to communicate well in English with physicians nurses patients and LIS representative contacts.
  4. Work well under time of stress.
  5. Have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  6. Have at least two years of experience in a hospital laboratory environment.
  7. Familiar with laboratory functions.
