About the position
As an Electrical Design Engineer Intern you will support the integration of electrical systems components and new avionics installations into aircraft interior designs.
Preferred Experience with the following Electrical Systems
- Switching Systems
- Entertainment Systems
- Power Distribution
- Communication Systems
- Electrical Load Analysis
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Creation of electrical design specifications test plans and reports for new equipment required.
- Selecting appropriate methods techniques and evaluation criteria to resolve engineering issues
- Approach to problem solving balances technical product and schedules.
- Will work with CHS/EWIS/EHI Methodology
Preferred skills
- Will work with direct supervision and must be a willing team member that will perform work accurately combining sound classroom experience with a common-sense approach.
- Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments and makes decisions and recommendations to determine appropriate direction
- Office Products such as Power Point Project Word and Excel
- Familiar with CATIA V5-SmarTeam/Enovia.
Education and Experience Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelors degree or higher in one of the following disciplines:

- Enrolled as a full-time student at time of application actively pursuing a bachelors degree or above.
- Complete their freshman year by the time the internship starts.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume.
- Minimum 12-14 week requirement (summer); 14-16 week requirement (spring and fall).
- Must be onsite; this is not a remote position.
- Must have reliable transportation.
