Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Engineer/Geologist to lead complex environmental site assessment and remediation projects. This role involves technical leadership project management regulatory compliance and client engagement. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in environmental consulting remediation design and field operations with the ability to deliver high-quality cost-effective solutions.
This is a senior-level position offering opportunities for leadership client interaction and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the planning design and execution of environmental site assessments.
- Develop and implement remediation strategies including in-situ chemical injections soil vapor extraction and air sparging.
- Design and oversee vapor mitigation systems such as vapor barriers and sub-slab depressurization systems.
- Manage project teams subcontractors budgets and timelines to ensure successful and on-budget delivery.
- Prepare and review remedial action plans technical reports and regulatory submittals in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships through effective communication and problem-solving.
- Mentor and guide junior staff fostering professional development and technical growth.
- Contribute to business development activities including proposal writing client presentations and strategic engagement.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Geology Environmental Engineering Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8 years of environmental consulting experience with a strong focus on site assessment and remediation.
- Proven experience working with California regulatory agencies including the RWQCB and DTSC.
- Strong project management background with ability to oversee budgets schedules and deliverables.
- Excellent technical writing analytical and communication skills.
- Familiarity with modeling and remediation design tools is a plus.
