Job Description
Ultimately the candidates will be getting lineage back to source systems. SQL PLSQL and Informatica is needed. An ETL Developer/Data Analyst will suffice but the candidate must also have good documentation skills as they will be documenting current state. IDQ/Data governance is an extra win.
Work Description:
Partner closely with Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) and Data Governance teams to prioritize document and deliver lineage for Critical Data Elements (CDEs). Scope and delivery are CDE-first: focus Source to Target mapping (STMs) on tables/feeds that host CDEs; extend to non-CDE tables only when they are upstream/downstream dependencies that materially affect CDE quality or lineage. Logic primarily involves straight moves basic CASE and transformation logic for Informatica PL/SQL SAS SQL etc with specs curated in Excel SharePoint and shared folders.
Job Description:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements design and deliver solutions using Alation Manta MHUB (AbInito) and Informatica Information Manager platforms
Develop and maintain data governance processes and standards within Alation leveraging Mantas MHUB and IIM data lineage capabilities.
Analyze data lineage and metadata to provide insights into data quality compliance and usage patterns.
Lead the evaluation and implementation of new features and updates for both Alation and Manta platforms ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Participate in strategic planning and tactical solution sessions to define the end to Data Lineage for all applications in scope.
Skills:
1. Strong understanding of data management principles including data governance metadata management and data lineage.
2. Strong understanding of the data lineage concepts
3. Well versed in SQL Oracle Programming skills in a Unix environment.
4. Proficiency in querying and manipulating data within Alation Manta IIM and MHUB environments.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and optimize workflows within Alation and Manta.
6. Should have knowledge of Data Governance technologies for data quality and metadata management - Abinitio (Mhub) or Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)/ IIM
7. Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders from different teams and departments.
8. Should be proficient in capturing the business/data quality rules.
9. Versed with concepts of validation rules validation constraints or check routines that check for correctness meaningfulness and security of data that are input to the system.
10. Team player with strong oral and interpersonal skills
11. Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills with a logical and pragmatic attitude
