Title: Multi-Disciplined Technician II - R&D
Pay Rate: $24.50/hr
Employment Type: Contract 6 Months
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Tekberry is seeking a highly qualified Multi-Disciplined Technician II to join our client a worldwide leader in manufacturing and research. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
This role supports special projects and experimental work in research and development. The technician will assist in initiating executing and tracking experimental runs coordinating with operations and performing equipment modifications and setup.
Responsibilities-
Initiate experiment starts across plant areas and coordinate runs with operations.

Perform small equipment modifications to support project needs.

Set up execute and monitor experimental runs.

Manage experimental workflow for multiple projects simultaneously.

Support downtime activities as applicable.

Coordinate specialized measurements on canes fiber or blanks.

Assist with shipments of samples canes or blanks.
-
Ability to load unload and transport blanks on carts.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Flexibility in work assignments with ability to handle multiple priorities.

Self-motivated proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook Word).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Team player who can work effectively with a broad range of people.

Familiarity with Corning safety policies and commitment to safety-first practices.

Experience operating Corning-specific equipment or other R&D manufacturing tools.

Interest in experimentation development work and adapting to change.

Willingness to share ideas and contribute to continuous improvement.
