Job Summary

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Charlotte NC (Hybrid 3 days onsite per week)

Type: 4 to 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Overview:

This individual will play a key role in architecting developing and enhancing business-critical applications while preparing to transition into a people leadership role. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert with experience across modern full-stack technologies and cloud environments along with the drive to lead and mentor others.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance product features for Classified Ad listings and a Live Auctioning system where cars are bought and sold in real-time.
Build and maintain applications using and Laravel ensuring seamless data synchronization between users and bidders.
Integrate and manage 3rd-party platforms including Salesforce ElasticSearch and PayPal.
Leverage AWS services (Lambda Functions Step Functions ECS EC2 DynamoDB Redis) to architect and optimize backend processes hosting and caching.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions and support millions of records processed daily.
Drive system upgrades and migrations such as PHP 8 and Laravel 8 ensuring stability and scalability with zero downtime.
Provide mentorship to team members and begin building people leadership skills with a path toward managing development teams.
Participate in Agile practices code reviews and CI/CD optimization to improve delivery pipelines.

Qualifications:

7 years of professional software engineering experience including full-stack development.
Strong hands-on expertise with PHP (Laravel) and .
Proficiency with AWS cloud services (Lambda ECS EC2 DynamoDB Redis Step Functions).
Experience with GoLang for backend processing is a plus.
Proven track record in system architecture performance optimization and large-scale integrations.
Solid experience with relational and non-relational databases.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to mentor others.
Leadership mindset with interest in growing into a people manager role.

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience leading remote or hybrid development teams.
Background in integrating platforms such as Salesforce ElasticSearch and payment gateways.
Automotive or e-commerce industry experience.
