The project features a range of applications that address various aspects of banking and user interactions focusing on developing monitoring and analyzing application interface data and program efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead test automation efforts: Design build and maintain robust Cypress test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript for UI and API testing ensuring high coverage and code quality
- Contribute to automation strategy: Define and enforce best practices in automation supporting the overall test strategy with a focus on scalability maintainability and performance
- Optimize test frameworks: Continuously review and enhance automation frameworks to reduce execution time and improve flexibility and efficiency
- Collaborate across teams: Work closely with developers testers product managers and business analysts to troubleshoot issues align on test priorities and ensure product quality
- Mentor and guide the QA team: Share best practices perform code reviews and support junior and mid-level testers to elevate the overall technical maturity of the team
- Integrate automation into delivery pipelines: Implement and manage Cypress automation within CI/CD workflows for continuous quality assurance
- Communicate results and improvements: Analyze test results generate metrics and provide actionable insights to stakeholders and leadership
Qualifications :
Must have:
- 5 years of experience in Automation Test Engineering
- Proven expertise with Cypress using JavaScript or TypeScript for UI and API test automation
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g. Postman REST Assured)
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and testing processes
- Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins Azure DevOps GitHub Actions)
- Excellent analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and clearly communicate complex issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
Background in BDD frameworks (e.g. Cucumber CodeceptJS)
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker Kubernetes etc
Experience with other automation frameworks like Playwright TestCafe WebdriverIO etc.
