Staff Fullstack Engineer - AI - Remote (US)
Our client is building the next generation of all-in-one work communication an AI-native platform designed to replace outdated tools like Zoom and Slack.
Each week over 100000 professionals rely on thier platform from Fortune 500 enterprises and public utilities to law firms and fast-growing startups. With deep visibility into how people communicate collaborate and get work done we have the resources and insights to reimagine the modern workplace.
Thier newest product is designed to give AI agents the context they need to navigate the wide range of tools used at work (e.g. Slack Notion GitHub). By structuring and connecting organizational knowledge Grapevine unlocks what many consider the holy grail for AI in the workplaceand were uniquely positioned to make it real.
Role Overview
As a Staff Fullstack Engineer on Grapevine youll play a central role in building critical functionality across both the ingestion stack (new data sources privacy/governance engine) and core product surfaces (UI MCP Slack integrations). The roadmap is ambitious with scalability and data security at its core. Were looking for a systems-oriented engineer who thrives on moving quickly from concept to working prototype with the ability to design and deliver both front-end and back-end solutions.
Where You will Make an Impact
- Develop integrations with new external platforms broadening understanding of organizational knowledge
- Architect and implement systems like a Privacy/Governance engine to protect sensitive data across teams
- Deliver intuitive product experiences powered by rich structured knowledge
- Build prototypes showcasing company-specific AI applications from internal chatbots to workflow automation tools
- Mentor engineers and inspire innovative thinking about practical AI solutions
Tech Stack
Vite TypeScript Python Kubernetes MCPs LLM APIs
Essential
- Strong backend development skills with experience going from problem to deployment.
- Experience at early/growth stage startups (<100 people).
- BIG PLUS: Experience with privacy or governance systems.
- Experience at AI-native or consumer oriented companies
Skills required
- Previous work in Typescript (Vite is a plus)
- Experience with Python
- Experience with infrastructure specifically Kubernetes
- Experience building AI systems (MCPs Agents LLM APIs).
- Ability to work autonomously on complex problems. We need Super ICs who dont need mentorship.
- Strong communication and high ownership.
- Comfortable with long hours where required.
