Job Summary
The UMass Extension Agriculture Program is seeking applicants to fill a postdoctoral research associate position in Amherst Massachusetts. Duties will be performed under a funded agreement with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) to develop a system to track the use of climate-smart agricultural practices in Massachusetts including healthy soils management practices identified in the Massachusetts Healthy Soils Action Plan. The project also intends to advance understanding of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and carbon sequestration occurring on Massachusetts croplands and managed grasslands including assessing the greenhouse gas and other benefits of climate-smart agricultural practices.

Salary Information
The University of Massachusetts Amherst expects to pay within an approximate range between $62838 and $99990 for this position.
The specific pay for this position will be determined by the University based on consideration of all relevant factors when and if it decides to extend an offer of employment.
Please note - the collective bargaining agreement sets hiring ranges based on years of experience as follows (1) 0-2 years of experience $62838 and $66286 (2) 3-4 years of experience $66287 and $71032 (3) 5 years of experience $71033 and $99990.
