As an Associate EHS Specialist you will:

  • Develop administer and implement environmental health and safety (EHS) programs in accordance with governmental and company requirements. These programs include but are not limited to: Ergonomics Incident Investigation and Reporting Workers Compensation Control of Hazardous Energy Electrical Safety Machine Guarding Hot Work Job Safety Analysis Powered Industrial Trucks Compressed Gases Industrial Hygiene Hazardous Waste and Management of Change.

  • Review and analyze documentation issued by regulatory agencies.

  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to determine corrective action plans.

  • Conduct studies and prepare environmental impact reports for new construction projects plant processes and permit changes.

  • Evaluate proposed regulations to determine financial and industrial impact.

  • Interact with regulatory bodies to resolve compliance issues and assist in regulatory audits.

  • Identify and take corrective action against activities that pose potential threats to workershealth or safety which may include recommending organizational measures to protect workers safety through revised methods processes or materials; inspecting workplace environments equipment and/or practices to ensure compliance with standards and regulations; and investigating and/or identifying causes regarding filed incidents.

  • Provide/promote employee awareness/training on matters of environmental health and safety.

  • Conduct EHS reviews for new product development facility modification product manufacturing modifications and new equipment/machinery installations.

  • Facilitate EHS reviews for product transfer to/from other facilities.

  • Develop and drive programs and policies to improve safety culture and risk reduction.

  • Lead Emergency Response Team.

  • Partner with Facilities on environmental sustainability initiatives and applicable data management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 0 years of experience

  • Able to work independently take initiative and stay focused on tasks without the need for constant supervision.

  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across various functions.

  • Willing to receive guidance incorporate feedback and continuously improve performance.

  • Comfortable representing priorities making decisions and engaging with teams in a professional and impactful manner.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$60000.00 - $90000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20 hours per week: Health Dental and vision insuranceHealth Savings AccountHealthcare Flexible Spending AccountLife insurance Long-term disability leaveDependent daycare spending accountTuition assistance/reimbursement andSimple Steps (global well-being program).
