Job Opening: RN Med/Surg & Telemetry Float Pool

Location: Cooperstown NY

Department: Nursing Float Team

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift & Hours:

• Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

• 36 hours weekly (3x12s)

• Rotating weekends (every other)

Overview
Join our inpatient float pool as a Registered Nurse (RN) providing flexible coverage across Med/Surg Telemetry and Observation units. This role requires a high degree of clinical expertise adaptability and strong communication skills to support diverse hospital environments.

Primary Duties

• Provide safe patient-centered nursing care in Med/Surg and Telemetry units

• Float to multiple hospitals with daily and mid-shift assignments as needed

• Adapt quickly to varying unit environments and patient needs

• Perform timely assessments interventions and accurate documentation in EMRs

• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards

Required Qualifications

• NY State RN license in good standing

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience

• Solid clinical judgment and independent practice capabilities

• BLS certification; ACLS preferred

• EPIC EMR experience strongly desired

Other Information
Assignments may be provided shortly before the start of the shift. Float coverage includes both large hospitals and smaller rural sites.
