Job Description
The position is half administration (for OREC research projects and operations) and half research (publication grant/funding proposal writing etc.). The research part calls for an established scientist in the field of renewable energy engineering and closely related engineering/research fields. The OREC Lab Manager will report directly to the OREC Director. The OREC Lab Manager/Research Coordinator will spend approximately half of the time on management for the Oregon Renewable Energy Center ( OREC ) lab space and general operations and the other half of the time on executing renewable energy research project development/grant drafting.
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years experience in electrical shops that includes use of renewable energy technology band set up such as solar photovoltaics battery energy storage electric transportation (vehicle aviation etc.) grid integration/resilience wind turbine geothermals etc. Minor electrical troubleshooting/repair electrical/electronics instruction experience research experience in renewable energy Proven desire/ability to work with students and faculty Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary research projects
