He whakamrama m te tranga mahi About the role:
As a Bridge & Structures Engineer youll support the safe design inspection and maintenance of our bridges tunnels culverts retaining walls and other structures.
Youll work with consultants contractors and colleagues to deliver engineering solutions that balance safety cost and service reliability. From overseeing inspections and advising on upgrades to contributing to asset management strategies your expertise will help ensure our rail network is safe and resilient.

Were looking for someone with a mix of technical skill and a collaborative approach. You will bring:
- A tertiary engineering degree with a relevant specialisation (civil/structural preferred)
- 2 years experience in structural engineering
- Experience in design inspection and/or maintenance of bridges Strong communication skills A focus on safety and continuous improvement
- Project management or construction monitoring experience (desirable)
- Working towards professional chartership (desirable)
- Structural based CAD experience (desirable)
An interest in rail is welcomed but not essential
