Physical Therapist LTC/SNF - Travel Position

Pay: $2175/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Walla Walla WA on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will evaluate residents develop individualized treatment plans and provide therapy services aimed at restoring mobility improving strength and promoting independence. The ideal candidate is patient-focused adaptable and experienced in geriatric rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess functional abilities mobility and therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions including gait training strengthening balance activities and mobility exercises.
- Educate residents families and caregivers on therapy goals safe practices and use of assistive equipment.
- Document evaluations progress notes and treatment outcomes accurately and in compliance with facility standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.
- Promote safety independence and overall quality of life through evidence-based therapy practices.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Masters in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Washington (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PT experience preferably in skilled nursing or long-term care.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong communication assessment and organizational skills.
- Compassionate patient-centered approach with experience supporting geriatric populations.
