Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned coordinated and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Job Summary
Performs complex duties involving the assembly fabrication troubleshooting testing repair overhaul modification and general maintenance of electrical equipment or components which have typically been removed from larger systems or assemblies on marine equipment. Performs other tasks as assigned. Will be required to work outside for extended periods of times.
Basic Qualifications
- AA degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
- Eight years of directly related work experience.
- Complete the Navy Electrical Repair Course or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical circuitry electrical principles and formulas and their practical application to the equipment and systems lieu of a degree a combination of college credits other formalized training or education and directly related work experience may be considered.
- Thorough knowledge of electronic circuitry and theory relative to a marine equipment/systems.
- Ability to apply a knowledge of mechanical theory and of pneumatic and hydraulic principles to isolate repair or replace faulty components.
- Ability to apply knowledge of wire color codes symbols layout sheets wiring diagrams schematics technical orders and manufacturers specifications.
- Ability to comply with all established methods quality standards and time schedules applicable to this position.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.
