Pay and Schedule
Hourly pay: 240 to 260 based on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
No weekends or holidays
40 hours per week per FTE

On-Call Coverage
Evenings weekends holidays
Phone response within 15 minutes
On-site within 60 minutes
Call schedule coordinated with VA staff oncology physicians

Scope of Work
Provide oncology consultation and treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings
Evaluate and triage consults from Primary Care and other services
Obtain history and perform physical exams
Order and interpret labs and studies
Plan and prescribe treatment
Coordinate care with Primary Care and the multidisciplinary team
Complete peer review and OPPE tasks
Provide oncology call coverage as assigned

Qualifications
Current full unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
Board certified by ABIM in Medical Oncology
Current BLS and ACLS
DEA and NPI
No history of license restriction suspension revocation voluntary surrender or denial
Maintain required certifications and continuing education

Access and Scheduling Standards
Patients seen on-site during normal clinic hours
Clinic hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday excluding holidays
Specific clinic times set with VA close to start date
