As a Corridor Access Advisor youll make sure all work in and around the rail corridor is carried out safely and efficiently. Working closely with contractors stakeholders and KiwiRail teams youll review Corridor Access requests issue Permit to Enter and provide clear guidance on corridor access requirements.
Youll also:
Support audits and inspections of permit holders and access sites
Monitor and respond to corridor access queries
Report incidents hazards and near misses accurately and promptly
Help contractors and teams understand and follow safety standards
This role is based in one of our main centres near a major airport with occasional national travel by agreement.

Youll bring a safety-first mindset and excellent communication skills along with:
Experience in a permitting compliance or safety-focused role (infrastructure construction or utilities is ideal)
Understanding of basic safety protocols and regulatory processes
Confidence using Microsoft Office tools and managing documentation
Ability to work independently meet deadlines and solve problems proactively
Strong customer service focus when working with contractors and stakeholders
It would also be great if you have:
Knowledge of corridor access or permitting processes
Experience supporting health and safety practices in operational settings
Exposure to rail roading or utilities environments
A full clean New Zealand drivers licence is required.
