Job Summary
Position: RN Cardiac Catheterization Unit
Location: Cooperstown NY 13326
Contract: 13 Weeks Option to Extend
Schedule: Full-time 36 hours/week 12-hour Days (3x12s)
Overview
The Cath Lab RN will deliver skilled nursing care throughout the catheterization process. This includes patient preparation intra-procedure assistance and recovery management. Candidates should have strong critical thinking and procedural support skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-procedure assessments and patient teaching
- Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures with attention to sterile field maintenance
- Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as directed
- Oversee recovery and respond promptly to complications or changes in patient status
- Provide post-procedure education to patients and families
- Document care consistently and in compliance with standards of practice
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing required
- Active BLS (AHA)
- Prior Cath Lab or critical care background preferred
