The Team
Community-based Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Services are delivered by a large multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of children and youth from birth to age 18 and their families. The team typically includes psychologists clinical social workers counsellors with masters degrees and nurses with specialized training in CYMH. These professionals work collaboratively with clients and families to provide a full continuum of services including intake screening and referral assessment and planning treatment case management and clinical consultation. Services range from mental health promotion and illness prevention to early intervention treatment and ongoing support and are delivered in partnership with families and communities to foster positive outcomes.
The Role
CYMH Clinicians including Infant/Early Childhood Clinicians provide direct clinical services such as assessment treatment suicide risk assessments safety planning and crisis intervention. Clinicians work in a variety of flexible settings including homes schools and community spaces to meet the unique needs of children youth and their families. The Infant/Early Childhood Clinician focuses specifically on the emotional social and behavioural development of infants and young children within the context of their family relationships promoting secure attachment emotional regulation and healthy development. Through clinical consultation and ongoing collaboration with families and community partners clinicians help ensure coordinated and effective care tailored to each child and familys learn more about the important work we do to support children youth and families please view our short video Child and Youth Mental Health. About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home up to 1 day a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
