Purpose

Our Global Analytics Engineering team is dedicated to building scalable cloud-native data infrastructure that powers data-driven decision-making across the bank.
Is this role right for you In this role you will:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Design and implement robust data pipelines using Apache Airflow for orchestration and dbt for transformation ensuring modularity reusability and maintainability.
- Build scalable data models optimized for performance and usability in BigQuery and other GCP services.
- Ensure data quality and reliability through automated testing frameworks anomaly detection and monitoring tools.
- Implement data governance and security best practices
- Document data architecture lineage and transformation logic using tools like dbt docs Data Catalog and Confluence.
- Support data scientists and analysts by providing clean well-modeled and accessible datasets.
- Continuously improve and experiment with new tools frameworks and methodologies to enhance data engineering practices.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role Wed love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a strong asset though familiarity with any major cloud technologies such as Azure or GCP is considered sufficient.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python with experience in data processing libraries such as pandas PySpark or Beam.
- High-level knowledge of dbt and the modern data stack.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
- Solid understanding of data warehouse architecture dimensional modeling and data lakehouse concepts.
- Proven track record of implementing data quality frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
- Experience in Banking Finance or Credit Cards is a strong asset.
- Detail-oriented pragmatic and performance-driven.
