A TIG welder is a skilled professional whoprecisely joins metal pieces together using a tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding technique translating blueprints into functional structures by performing intricate welding tasks on various metals often in industries like aerospace construction and manufacturing requiring a high level of precision and attention to detail.
Qualifications Experience and Skills:
- TIG welding and fabrication experience or combination of TIG welding experience with certification
- Ability to fabricate from blueprints drawings and templates
- Knowledge of standard weld symbols and standards.
- High school education GED or equivalent (Preferred)
- Proven measurement and mathematical fraction / decimal conversion skills using a tape measure and calipers
