Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Supervisor of Academic Support & Team Integration assists the Directors Supervisors Coordinators of Instruction and educators in implementing and monitoring all schoolwide co-teaching initiatives. The Supervisor of Academic Support & Team Integration must be a skilled supervisor of diverse staff and be able to work collaboratively with school administrators teachers and staff.

Esperanza Cyber Charter School Mission

Esperanza Cyber Charter School (ECCS) prepares students in grades Kindergarten through 12 to meet the challenges of living creatively and productively in an increasingly technologically sophisticated and interconnected world. ECCS will provide students with an academically rigorous yet flexible online learning program that tailors learning experiences to each child through curriculum choices and virtual and in-person tutoring and counseling. ECCS targets underserved and at-risk students who have not always found success in traditional schools. ECCS places students on a pathway to post-secondary success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters Degree in a related field
  • PA PRINCIPAL CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
  • A strong background in effectively implementing intervention strategies differentiated instruction or English Language Development experience.
  • At least five years of experience in the education field part of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in an urban setting with high percentages of ELD and SPED students
  • A passion for education and a belief that your zip code does not dictate your destiny

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team Leadership & Supervision

    • Provide direct supervision and support to family coaches guidance counselors social workers attendance team and other student support staff.

    • Conduct regular check-ins performance evaluations and coaching for staff under your supervision.

    • Support professional development and promote collaboration among the student services team.

  • Culture & Climate Management

    • Serve as a key leader in fostering a positive inclusive and equitable school culture for both students and staff.

    • Collaborate with school leadership to implement strategies that promote engagement belonging and respectful behavior.

    • Monitor school climate data and implement responsive action plans as needed.

  • Student & Family Engagement

    • Coordinate efforts to strengthen partnerships between families students and the school.

    • Develop systems to ensure students and families are connected to the appropriate school and community-based resources.

    • Support communication strategies to keep families informed and engaged.

  • Crisis Response & Support Services

    • Work closely with social workers and counselors to manage crisis intervention plans.

    • Ensure staff are trained and prepared to respond to student needs with care and urgency.

  • Collaboration & Communication

    • Act as a liaison between student support staff and school leadership.

    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to align student services with academic and behavioral goals.

    • Maintain clear consistent communication with staff and families.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to influence positive behaviors by effectively communicating cyber school objectives and goals.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
  • Ability to write reports formal correspondence and other documents that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students supervisors and staff.
  • Ability to effectively participate in continuing professional development based on an assessment of needs.
  • Ability to respectfully and effectively respond to common inquiries concerns or complaints from parents students and staff.
  • Ability to lead and motivate the staff to meet critical deadlines and cope with severe time constraints frequently interacting with students and staff through irregular and extended work hours
