Job Description
Chrysalis Psychiatry is a growing outpatient mental health practice in Albuquerque New Mexico. We believe very strongly in the importance of having a safe place to heal from emotional trauma and in providing high quality evidence-based treatment. We offer a variety of mental health services including medication management and interventional treatments for PTSD depression and other mental illnesses.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health therapist to join our team in New Mexico. This is an in-office position offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and family therapy to adults and adolescents with various mental health concerns
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans that are tailored to each clients unique needs
- Maintain accurate and timely client records and progress notes
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or PhD in Psychology Clinical Counseling Social Work or related field
- License eligible in the state of New Mexico
- At least three years previous counseling experience required
- Strong knowledge of mental health disorders as well as psychology therapy and counseling approaches
- Strong analytical skills to assess a patients situation and build treatment plans
- Excellent listening skills to best understand a patients issues and concerns
- Excellent communication skills to effectively guide patients and establish trust
- Crisis intervention skills to respond to patients in acute distress
- All new patient visits conducted in person but we offer a mixture of in-person and telemedicine for follow-up visits based on patient needs
Compensation & Benefits:
- $75000 - $80000 base salary plus bonus
- Based on 32 clinical hours worked; salary guaranteed - not based on patients seen
