Job Description

Hourly Compensation: $28.00/hr

(This is a set hourly wage. No range exists).

ABOUT OUR HOTEL

  • 4th largest hotel in Seattle with 557 rooms 28000 sq. ft of meeting space
  • Stable operation the hotel has never been sold

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take responsibility to ensure the smooth operation of the department utilizing the Director of Rooms Operations for out-of-the-ordinary situations or decisions
  • Ensuring good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the hotel and maintaining proper emergency and security procedures
  • Patrolling hotel property for any actual or potential safety or security threats to the hotel its personnel and guests
  • Maintain and make swipe keys using the front desk unit
  • Provide security escort service as needed
  • Maintain the work schedule under the direction of the Director of Rooms Operations
  • Investigating and documenting any incidents reported in the area of safety and security according to corporate and hotel policy
  • Maintaining the officers daily activity report/Lost &Found/Safety
  • Respond to First Aid/CPR requests for guests or employees
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all incidents and reports
  • Implement Hotel Loss Prevention Programs
  • Effective communications with local fire police and other authorities
  • Maintaining all security control procedures in the hotel
  • Respond to emergencies according to corporate and hotel policies
  • Communicating effectively between the department the General Manager and the corporate office within the area of responsibility
  • Operating in compliance with all local state and federal laws and government regulations
  • Attend regular departmental-level meetings
  • May be required to drive
  • Perform other duties as-required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Computer skills; knowledge of CCTV operation
  • CPR and First-aid a plus
  • Able to remain calm and professional under stress; good interpersonal communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education or experience
  • 2 years in Loss Prevention in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Formal training preferred
  • This position may be required to drive. Employment is contingent on employee providing a clean driving record.
