ROLE DESCRIPTION

AGG is seeking a Java Lead with a focus on DPMS to guide the design development and delivery of enterprise-grade applications. This role requires deep expertise in Java Microservices and the Spring ecosystem with proven leadership in driving code quality test automation and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical skills along with the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver high-performance secure applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build secure and reliable code solutions that improve customer experiences and support automation of digital services.
• Keep current with emerging technologies frameworks and industry best practices.
• Partner with architects and cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable solutions.
• Achieve full line and branch coverage in unit tests using JUnit.
• Develop design and sustain robust software applications leveraging Java Microservices and the Spring framework.
• Apply strong debugging and problem-resolution skills to quickly pinpoint and fix performance issues.
• Utilize BDD frameworks like Cucumber or Karate to implement automated testing.
• Safeguard application quality responsiveness and performance throughout the lifecycle.
• Uphold code standards by eliminating Sonar issues and addressing vulnerabilities.
• Other duties as directed by leadership.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• More than 12 years of demonstrated success as a Lead Software Engineer or in a comparable leadership role.
• Deep hands-on experience working with Oracle databases.
• Advanced expertise in Java Microservices Oracle and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot Spring Framework Spring Data JPA).
• Excellent communication abilities both written and spoken with strong interpersonal skills.
• Skilled in automation testing using BDD tools such as Cucumber or Karate.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technology teams and solution architects.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with sharp attention to detail.
• Familiarity with modern development practices and methodologies including Agile and Scrum.
• Significant experience using JUnit with a track record of achieving complete line and branch coverage.

OTHER Must have no other full-time commitments ready to engage in exciting technical consulting projects with our diverse portfolio of clients.
