Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior IT Field Services Technician in Nelson. This freelance role involves providing comprehensive onsite IT support for various clients. The technician will engage in troubleshooting and managing the IT infrastructure ensuring the smooth operation of client systems.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong experience in onsite support and hands-on troubleshooting (Mandatory skill).
  • Competency in basic network and audio/video support facilitating smooth communication and connectivity.
  • Effective incident handling and coordination with external vendors to ensure timely resolution of IT issues.
  • Proficiency in IT asset management and conducting site audits to maintain organized and documented IT resources.
  • Awareness of safety and compliance standards ensuring a secure working environment for all IT processes.
  • Ability to provide end-user and desktop support addressing technical queries and concerns efficiently.
  • Knowledge of managing multi-function devices (MFD) including installation troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Capable of adapting to dynamic environments and learning new technologies to meet evolving business needs.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Deliver onsite support addressing client needs promptly and maintaining IT systems for optimal performance.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve technical issues across various devices and platforms.
  • Assist with basic network setup and support enhancing communication channels for business operations.
  • Coordinate incident resolutions with external vendors to ensure quick recovery from IT disruptions.
  • Manage IT assets conducting audits to keep track of equipment and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure safety compliance and integrity of IT processes to protect data and maintain operational standards.
  • Provide end-user support facilitating effective use of technology tools for client productivity.
  • Maintain multi-function devices ensuring these essential tools are operational and efficient for client use.
