Operating Room Circulating Registered Nurse Travel Position
Location: Oconomowoc WI
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8s
Pay: $2588/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Circulating Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Oconomowoc WI. The Circulating Nurse will be responsible for coordinating care before during and after surgical procedures ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented adaptable and experienced in handling a variety of surgical cases in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients prior to surgery and verify required documentation and consents.
- Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment instruments and supplies.
- Circulate during surgical procedures maintaining a sterile environment and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
- Monitor patient safety and condition throughout the procedure.
- Document nursing care patient status and intraoperative events accurately.
- Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and surgical technologists to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide post-operative care instructions and assist with patient recovery and transfer.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin (or compact license).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room circulating experience.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred).
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong organizational communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt to a wide range of surgical specialties and fast-paced environments.
