Key Responsibilities
- Deliver age-appropriate assessment treatment and care for diverse patient populations
- Develop and implement individualized care plans using interdependent nursing standards
- Administer medications safely and troubleshoot clinical equipment
- Communicate patient status and care updates to the healthcare team
- Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and organizational policies
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold ethical standards of nursing practice
Telemetry-Specific Duties
- Perform arrhythmia recognition and maintain ACLS certification
- Prepare Telemetry rooms for critical care admissions
- Initiate life-saving measures during emergencies
- Attend shift huddles and follow chain-of-command protocols
Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- BLS certification (required prior to patient care)
- ACLS certification (required within 6 months of hire)
- Completion of basic arrhythmia recognition training
- Strong clinical assessment documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work scheduled hours including holidays weekends and on-call shifts
- Basic computer proficiency and commitment to ongoing education
