Job Description
At Winning Consulting we are on the lookout for aFunctional Analystto be part of our dynamic team. This role involves working on an exciting project for one of our key clients in the banking sector in Madrid (Hybrid).
The successful candidate will play a dual role: as a senior functional/business analyst engaging with stakeholders to shape business requirements and drive solutions in the lending and data domains; and as a project controller ensuring rigorous budgeting financial monitoring and governance for large-scale initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a dual role: as a senior functional/business analyst engaging with stakeholders to shape business requirements and drive solutions in the lending and data domains; and as a project controller ensuring rigorous budgeting financial monitoring and governance for large-scale initiatives.
Responsabilities:
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to capture challenge and refine requirements related to lending products and data processes ensuring alignment with business strategy and regulatory needs.
- Assess end-to-end business processes identify opportunities for improvement and translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT delivery teams.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of data models data dictionaries and metadata management frameworks to strengthen data consistency traceability and compliance.
- Work closely with IT and cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions are properly implemented tested (including UAT) and embedded into operational practices.
- Drive business readiness user training and communication activities to ensure smooth adoption of solutions across Corporate and Investment Banking units.
- Develop track and maintain project budgets for large and complex initiatives ensuring accurate allocation of resources across functional streams.
- Monitor actual vs. forecasted expenditure identify variances and recommend corrective actions to ensure projects remain financially on track.
- Prepare and deliver financial and project performance reports to senior management providing transparency on progress risks and resource utilization.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance IT Business Administration or related field.
- 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst role in the banking sector with strong knowledge of lending products and distribution methods.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting project controlling and financial monitoring for large or complex projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to work at the intersection of business requirements and financial governance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques and SQL is a plus.
