WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Propulsion Systems group at Slate is seeking an energetic organized and enthusiastic Calibration Engineering Intern to join our team for the Fall 2025 Semester (September December). This is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment. This position reports to our Troy MI location 3 days per week.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Assist in integrating key parts of the software and calibrating various components for production vehicles.
  • Supporting prototype vehicle calibration and testing activities.
  • Help translate vehicle requirements/functional objectives and contribute to development and testing plans.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and various teams (e.g. Chief Engineer architecture purchasing program management and quality engineers) to ensure successful launch and release.
  • Assist in defining executing and design verification plans (DVP) and reporting.
  • Support production ramp-up and resolve field issues.
  • Document and manage calibration changes.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Must be a Junior or Senior in college
  • Strong desire to learn and gain experience in propulsion systems calibration and testing.
  • Basic understanding of software and the ability to review documents to learn and understand software.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
