About the Role:

As a Customer Service Representative you will handle the daily input of sales orders respond to customer inquiries and support the sales and estimating teams to ensure smooth processing of initial orders. You will play a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction through clear communication and proactive follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Support Representative your responsibilities will include:

Process customer purchase orders and perform order entry with accuracy.
Address and manage customer requests including expedites and deferrals.
Support Outside Sales Representatives by addressing customer or vendor concerns.
Acknowledge incoming purchase orders and track order due dates to keep customers informed.
Maintain excellent communication with customers and ensure orders are processed on time.
Answer incoming phone calls and provide professional courteous assistance.
Assist in achieving continuous improvement and quality objectives.
Complete additional responsibilities as assigned to meet company customer or regulatory needs.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills including active listening and the ability to adjust your style to different audiences.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve issues effectively.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level).
Typing speed of 35 words per minute with accuracy.
Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Preferred:

Prior experience in manufacturing or order fulfillment processes.
Knowledge of administrative record-keeping procedures.
A strong customer service mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
