Head Baseball Coach
The Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools serves 1700 students from PreK-12 and is a free open-enrollment public charter school. Over 97% of our students are Latinx. Our school system consists of Guadalupe Centers High School Guadalupe Centers Middle School and Guadalupe Centers Elementary School. Our system grew out of Guadalupe Centers educational programming. The Head Baseball Coach is responsible for leading developing and managing the high school baseball program. This position emphasizes student-athlete growth teamwork sportsmanship and academic success while maintaining compliance with school league and state athletic regulations.
Plan organize and supervise practices conditioning and games.
Teach fundamental skills techniques and strategies of baseball.
Develop student-athletes physically academically and socially.
Promote teamwork discipline and sportsmanship on and off the field.
Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
Manage equipment uniforms and facilities.
Collaborate with the Athletic Director and school administration.
Oversee assistant coaches and provide mentorship.
Maintain compliance with MSHSAA and school athletic policies.
Communicate effectively with players parents staff and administrators.
Prior coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred.
Knowledge of the fundamentals techniques and strategies of baseball.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes.
Must meet MSHSAA coaching requirements and certifications.
Prolonged periods of standing walking and demonstrating athletic movements.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to access and navigate all areas of the athletic facilities and fields.
