As a Clinician with TFCC youll play a key role in helping clients involved in the Aid and Assist Program Behavioral Health Court and Jail Diversion Program achieve positive outcomes through person-centered care and community collaboration.
About the Role
In this position youll collaborate closely with the Jail Diversion Case Manager Behavioral Health Coordinator and Aid and Assist Coordinator to identify and support clients in jail or the community who experience mental health and/or substance use challenges. Youll provide Behavioral Health Assessments diagnose concerns and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specialty court setting.
Youll also offer ongoing case management and support for clients in supported housing or transitioning to independent living helping them build stability and long-term recovery in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate activities across three specialty court programs ensuring effective service delivery and appropriate resource allocation.
- Complete Behavioral Health Assessments (including ASAM criteria) and recommend appropriate levels of care.
- Partner with courts defense attorneys jail staff law enforcement parole/probation and community partners to ensure integrated care.
- Collaborate with housing coordinators and community housing providers to support smooth transitions between supported and independent living.
- Occasionally provide crisis coverage outside of regular hours when needed (e.g. during staff absences).
- Develop familiarity with community resources to identify service gaps and guide the use of specialty court funding.
Qualifications
Required:
- Masters degree in counseling Social Work or a related field
- Current QMHP status (Qualified Mental Health Professional)
- Supervisory or management experience
Preferred:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Experience working with the court or legal system or within jail/prison settings
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
