Job Summary
We are seeking a Dental Hygienist Assistant to join our dental care team. The ideal candidate will support professional dental staff by preparing treatment rooms assisting with procedures managing sterilization and ensuring exceptional patient care. This role is key in promoting preventive oral health while providing a welcoming and supportive environment for patients.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain clean sterilized treatment rooms.
Assist Dental Hygienists during patient procedures.
Update patient health histories and chart treatment progress.
Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
Manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
Support scheduling treatment recommendations and recall systems.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA OSHA and office protocols.
Required Skills & Experience
Prior dental assisting experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on patient comfort and care.
Education
Required: High school diploma or GED.
Preferred: Associates Degree or Dental Assisting certification.
Certifications & Licensure
Required: BLS certification X-ray training or certification.
Preferred: Certified Dental Assistant (CDA).
