The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for Electrical Assembly on days. This position is responsible for the soldering and assembly of complex circuit card assemblies.

Additionally Electrical Assembly will:

  • Fabricate electrical and/or mechanical assemblies
  • Follow manufacturing planning for instructions and inspection requirements per IPC standards.
  • Perform wire cutting stripping dressing ends and other simple cable operations
  • Solder wires and other electronic components
  • Perform assembly operations or inspection under microscope or other magnifying device as required
  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting encapsulating sanding cleaning epoxy bonding curing staking
  • Perform moderate to high level CCA repairs and modifications
  • Verify dimensions and or performance using standard measuring instruments

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing planning instructions
  • Experience with Circuit Card Assemblies preferred
  • Certification to IPC-7711/7721 J-STD-001 IPC-A-610
  • 1-2 years of experience with automated SMT and through hole CCA equipment
  • 1-2 years of experience in electrical soldering and wire crimping
  • 1-2 years in using precision tools fixture and measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and assemble parts from manufacturing planning instructions
  • Ability to perform detailed work requiring fine motor skills
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum).
  • Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work including as a minimum all elements defined in the Companys Quality Policy
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed.
