The Alliance for Equity in Cancer Care (Alliance) is a national multi-site initiative increasing access to timely high-quality cancer care. Funded by a $20M commitment from the Merck Foundation Alliance program partners or grantees work alongside community organizations to better reach populations disproportionately affected by cancer. Through evidence-informed programs the Alliance is tackling some of the most pressing challenges cancer patients face such as language barriers or lack of insurance. Grantees are also developing tools and resources to help cancer facilities deliver care more equitably particularly in community-based settings. Position details The Communications Specialist is an integral member of the National Program Office (NPO) team led by the VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center in collaboration with the VCU Center on Health Advancement. The NPO oversees all grantee activities adherence to funding guidelines and provides technical assistance and support. This individual is essential in promoting and amplifying programmatic outcomes across various platforms and communication channels.
