Occupational Therapist (Acute Rehab) Travel Position
Location: Idaho Falls ID
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x7s Days
Pay: $1895/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join an acute rehabilitation unit in Idaho Falls ID on a travel contract. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients recovering from injury illness or surgery with the goal of restoring independence and helping them perform essential daily activities. The ideal candidate is adaptable detail-oriented and experienced in acute rehab or inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient evaluations to assess functional abilities limitations and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide therapeutic interventions focused on mobility coordination self-care and cognitive rehabilitation.
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals home programs and the use of adaptive equipment.
- Document all assessments treatments and progress notes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with nursing staff physical therapists and speech-language pathologists to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain a safe and supportive therapeutic environment while following infection control guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Idaho (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent occupational therapy experience preferably in acute rehab or inpatient settings.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong communication clinical reasoning and organizational skills.
- Compassionate patient-centered approach to rehabilitation care.
