Job Description:

We have a position available in our group to work on the synthesis of natural products. Successful candidates will join a multidisciplinary research team to identify bioactive small molecules from nematodes using genome editing comparative metabolomics NMR spectroscopy and total synthesis and to study the biosynthesis and biological activity of these small molecules. Candidates should be eager to use chemistry expertise to solve biological problems. Candidates will chemically synthetize natural products to verify their structures and enable further biological studies. Additional duties include mentoring graduate students drafting manuscripts and assisting with grant proposal development.

Candidates must have PhD in chemistry. This position will be initially awarded for one year and contingent upon strong performance and conduct and availability of funds may be renewed for up to three years.
