We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious student to join our Process Engineering team for summer 2026! As the Process Engineering Intern you will support the process engineering team in our efforts to drive continuous improvement & process optimization efforts.

What you will do:

• Collect process data to help make process improvement decisions & recommend future Cap-Ex/Non Cap-Ex project
• Support completion of continuous improvement projects including 5S RCA (Root-Cause Analysis) Facilitation & FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis.
• Support process engineering team in creating standards to help standardize plant operations.
• Drive the digitization of plant metrics including KPIs & process indicators.
• Standardize plant work flows to mitigate food safety risks & reduce downgraded material.

What you will bring:

• Progress towards a Bachelors degree in Engineering.
• Ability to work safely in a plant operations environment
• Interpersonal verbal and written technical communication skills e.g. making presentations and writing technical data/reports
• Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day.
• Proficiency with using Microsoft Excel/ Microsoft Word

To be eligible for consideration candidates must:

• Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
• Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelors degree program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore junior or non-graduating senior.

  Pay Range: $22-31/hour
