Job Summary

Responsible for sample preparation test and validation of polymer materials. Conduct material characterization and provide polymer materials modelling inputs for virtual analyses (CAE Durability and other Multiphysics simulations) - Work in conjunction with engineering and product development teams B.S. in Materials Science/Engineering Chemical Engineering Physics Chemistry Polymer Sciences or Engineering is preferred - 2 years practical experience directly related to Automotive plastics and composites formulation and processing is preferred - Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment - Very organized and detail oriented in documentation report writing and data cross functional data management - Exceptional communication skills.

Sample Preparation: Prepare polymer and composite samples for testing including cutting polishing and mounting.
Material Testing: Conduct various mechanical and thermal tests on materials using specialized lab equipment.
Equipment Management: Operate and help maintain specialized laboratory instruments.
Data & Documentation: Accurately document all test results to support the materials database.
Engineering Support: Assist senior engineers with their R&D projects and experiments.
Lab Maintenance: Ensure the laboratory is kept safe organized and well maintained.
