Overview

As an Armed Security Officer you will serve and safeguard clients and lead a team in various industries such as Commercial Real Estate Healthcare Education Government and more.

We are looking for a competent Armed Security Officer to undertake the surveillance of our premises and protection of our staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism theft or other criminal behavior.

Salary: $18 an hour

Description: The armed security flex position is providing fixed and roving patrol security for a client site. Must be on call for 40 hours per week. Guaranteed 24 hours per week.

General security responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Providing excellent customer service to our clients
Observing detouring and reporting activities at the assigned site
Responding quickly to critical situations
Ability to read and write detailed reports
Enforcing client procedures regulations and standards
Ability to work various shifts as needed including weekends and holidays. Reasonable accommodation based on religious beliefs or disabilities will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Must have great communication and customer service skills
Ability to walk up and down stairs
Standing for long periods of time sometimes in excess of eight hours
Working outside in a variety of weather conditions depending on the assignment

Candidates are required to:

Have a high school diploma or GED; Assciates degree preferred but not required
Have a minimum two years security experience and/or Military/LEO
Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
Complete crisis prevention training
Complete site specific training before serving as a qualified security officer
Have a valid unexpired drivers license
Have the knowledge to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
Be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the State
Be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
Have access to reliable transportation/self-owned that allows for short notice response
Effectively read write and speak English
Ability to work any shift 24 hours per day seven days per week

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent or five years of verifiable experience
Participate in industry-specific security/safety training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only
Active Blue card
