Summary
Duties:
Individual is responsible for the overall verification of patients health coverage with the patients insurance company. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills with an emphasis on quality assurance. Interaction with internal colleagues providers and insurance companies on a daily basis is necessary to coordinate patients insurance information and complete the verification process.
Position Qualifications- Minimum Education:High school graduate or evidence of the equivalent.
- Minimum Experience:Experience in a related field and experience related with people in a customer service environment
- Certifications Preferred:
- Knowledge of medical terminology ICD-10 CPT coding
- Knowledge of general insurance policies
- Knowledge of and the ability to use computer systems
- Ability to handle and process information in a fast paced and repetitive environment
- Ability to work in environment with quantified performance expectations as it relates to the prior authorization process
- Ability to receive feedback and coaching following all standard operating procedures displaying reliability and having a willingness to continuously improve
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
