Job Summary
Role Overview:
As a Claims Handler you will manage end-to-end cargo claims processes ensuring timely and accurate handling investigation and resolution. You will collaborate with TPA surveyors customers and internal stakeholders to deliver proactive claims services while maintaining compliance with global guidelines and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle cargo claims from first notification to settlement and recovery.
- Assign and coordinate surveyors for claim investigations.
- Provide proactive claims support to global customers.
- Interpret policy wordings clauses and exclusions with technical accuracy.
- Audit claims files and ensure adherence to global claims guidelines.
- Maintain documentation in the Claims Management System.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Accountabilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain clear communication.
- Ensure financial control through accurate reserving and reporting.
- Align with claims best practices and internal policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Licentiate/Associateship/Fellowship from the Insurance Institute of India (III).
- Experience in marine/cargo claims preferred.
- Strong policy interpretation and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Effective time management and file organization.
- Collaborative mindset with eagerness to learn and adapt.
