About the role:

At Cresta the Voice Platform team is on a mission to transform real-time voice infrastructure and contact center automation through AI-powered backend systems. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Voice Platform team youll be responsible for designing scaling and operating the distributed services that power Crestas voice ecosystem.
Youll drive major initiatives in areas such as SIP and WebRTC support multilingual and translation pipelines and real-time conversation intelligence. This role requires strong technical leadership a passion for building reliable distributed systems and the ability to collaborate across engineering and product teams to bring innovative features into production.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development ofscalable distributed backend microservicesin Golang (with some Python for AI-related services).
  • Own and evolvevoice platform integrationswith large-scale enterprise communication and contact center systems.
  • Drive initiatives to expand platform capabilities includingbi-directional SIP WebRTC integrations multilingual support advanced transcription and real-time translation.
  • Build systems that powerconversation intelligencefor both remote and in-person interactions.
  • Improveobservability reliability and self-service troubleshootingacross the platform.
  • Ensureperformance scalability and resilienceof real-time voice pipelines running in the cloud.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ML product solution architects) to design end-to-end solutions for customer deployments.
  • Provide technical guidance mentorship and best practices to other engineers on the team.

Qualifications We Value:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5 years of experiencein backend system development distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
  • Expertise inGo(or a similar systems language) with strong API and service design skills.
  • Proven experience withscalable architecturesusing microservices workflow orchestration distributed caching and cloud databases.
  • Strong knowledge ofKubernetes Docker and modern cloud infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding ofnetworking real-time communication protocols and cloud security best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability tolead complex technical projectsfrom design through production.
  • Bonus: experience withvoice systems telephony or real-time media platforms

Compensation for this position includes a base salary equity and a variety of benefits.
