Job Description
Contract Remote Part-Time (2040 hours per week) 59 months
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Audit & Accounting Consultant to support the finance team during a temporary leave of absence. This contract role will focus on drafting financial analysis reports mapping and interpreting financial data assisting in quarterly reviews of interim financial statements and supporting other key finance functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting financial statement analysis and auditing with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear professional written deliverables.
This is a fully remote part-time contract (2040 hours per week) expected to run for 59 months beginning in October.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft accurate and structured financial analysis reports based on financial statements and related documentation.
- Map and analyze financial data to identify trends anomalies and potential areas of concern.
- Assist in the quarterly review of interim financial statements identifying financial risks and elevating issues for further review.
- Synthesize financial and qualitative data into professional written summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with finance team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
- Support other finance-related projects as needed.

Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong accounting and financial analysis expertise with GAAP principles.
- 4 years of experience in accounting financial analysis or auditing.
- Hands-on experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and reports.
- Experience interpreting and mapping financial data from multiple sources.
- Exposure to quarterly and/or interim financial statement reviews.
- Experience drafting professional written deliverables that synthesize data for non-finance audiences.
- Background in education nonprofit or government finance is a plus.
- CPA or CIA preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Excel Google Sheets Docs and Slides.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.

- Clear and concise written communication skills.
- Strong professional judgment and ability to elevate issues appropriately.
