Job Summary

Head Cook
  • Prepares cooks sets up and serves all breakfast items for up to 750 students
  • Prepares cooks and sets up all hot lunch items according to menu and production records for up to 750 students
  • Cooks and replenishes all food needed throughout all scheduled lunches
  • Performs other functions appropriate for the position as assignedAssistant Manager
  • Assists in meal planning meal preparation and meal service
  • Creates order lists based on menu
  • Maintains inventory lists of dry goods freezer and refrigerated food items
  • Ensures cash registers are closed and counted for each meal service
  • Prepares cash deposits when necessary for Manager to deliver to bank
  • Serves as back-up for submitting monthly reporting to the state
  • Assists in maintaining food safety documentation including production records and temperature logs required by the local Board of Health and MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
  • Perform other functions appropriate for the position as assigned
