Job Summary:
Tiny Tornadoes Daycare a program of Clinton Public Schools is seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a positive energetic and nurturing individual who is passionate about early childhood development and creating a safe stimulating and supportive environment for young children. This position is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with kids and wants to be a part of a dynamic and caring community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise children during all activities including playtime meals naps and outdoor activities ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help prepare and serve snacks and meals adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Engage with children in age-appropriate activities including reading stories singing songs and assisting with arts and crafts.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Assist with the daily care routines of children including diaper changes and bathroom breaks.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with parents staff and administration.
- Follow all licensing and safety regulations for childcare facilities.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for working with children.
- Patience creativity and a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry children and to be physically active with them throughout the day.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a licensed childcare facility or school setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or a willingness to obtain certification).
