Job Description
Position: Studio Animations Programmer
Location: On site Bucharest
Employment Type: Full-time
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program and operate lighting control systems for live events broadcasts virtual productions and digital settings.
- Design and implement dynamic lighting sequences that respond to real-time inputs or follow programmed cues.
- Collaborate with creative technical and production teams to seamlessly integrate lighting into physical digital and hybrid experiences.
- Convert design ideas into programmable cue stacks timelines and pixel maps.
- Set up troubleshoot and maintain lighting equipment including intelligent fixtures and pixel-based systems.
- Optimize lighting setups for both real-time rendering environments and video or broadcast compatibility.
- Participate in pre-production planning rehearsals and post-event reviews.
- Document lighting configurations patching and cue structures to ensure consistency and reproducibility.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Native or fluent English (C1 level) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in lighting design for gaming esports broadcast or interactive productions.
- Proven expertise with professional lighting control systems in live virtual or broadcast contexts.
- Strong knowledge of DMX Art-Net sACN and other lighting control protocols.
- Practical experience with moving lights LED arrays and advanced lighting technologies.
- Familiarity with show control processes including synchronization of lighting with video and audio.
- Knowledge of real-time rendering or streaming production environments is a plus.
- Excellent organizational problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt in fast-paced deadline-driven settings.
- Experience working with real-time virtual production tools such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Scripting or automation skills in languages like Lua Python or similar for show control.
- Strong understanding of color theory and visual storytelling in digital and hybrid environments.
