Job Summary
Job Description
A security guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises controlling access and enforcing security procedures.
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a security presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
- Report any suspicious behaviors and incidents to the authorities
- Secure all exits doors and windows after the working hours
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Integrity and professionalism
