Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking an Installation Technical Support specialist based in Montreal QC. This role serves as the primary point of contact for installers encountering technical challenges during the installation process. Key responsibilities include providing step-by-step guidance to installers remotely troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring customer satisfaction through clear communication and comprehensive follow-up support.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist the Manager in leading coaching and developing the installation team to enhance overall performance and technical capabilities.
  • Respond to technical inquiries from external and internal installers and customers via telephone and email during normal business hours providing timely and accurate solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues of low to moderate complexity related to hardware software and network connectivity. Process orders for missing installation parts and coordinate replacements for incorrectly shipped components.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all installer interactions in the Technical Support Database. Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues to higher-tier support teams or engineering departments when necessary.

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year of experience in customer service and technical support within a call center environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
  • Strong English language proficiency for effective communication with diverse stakeholders

APERU DU POSTE

dormakaba recherche un spcialiste en support technique dinstallation bas Montral QC. Ce poste sert de point de contact principal pour les installateurs qui rencontrent des dfis techniques pendant le processus dinstallation. Les principales responsabilits incluent fournir des conseils tape par tape aux installateurs dpanner distance les problmes techniques et assurer la satisfaction client par une communication claire et un suivi complet.

CE QUE VOUS FEREZ

  • Assister le gestionnaire dans la direction lencadrement et le dveloppement de lquipe dinstallation pour amliorer la performance globale et les capacits techniques.
  • Rpondre aux demandes techniques des installateurs externes et internes ainsi que des clients par tlphone et courriel pendant les heures normales daffaires en fournissant des solutions rapides et prcises.
  • Diagnostiquer et rsoudre les problmes techniques de complexit faible modre lis au matriel aux logiciels et la connectivit rseau. Traiter les commandes pour les pices dinstallation manquantes et coordonner les remplacements pour les composants mal expdis.
  • Maintenir une documentation complte de toutes les interactions avec les installateurs dans la base de donnes du support technique. Escalader les problmes techniques non rsolus ou complexes vers les quipes de support de niveau suprieur ou les dpartements dingnierie lorsque ncessaire.

CE QUE NOUS EXIGEONS

  • Diplme dtudes secondaires ou quivalent requis
  • Minimum dun an dexprience en service la clientle et support technique dans un environnement de centre dappels
  • Excellentes comptences de communication verbale et crite avec de fortes capacits de rsolution de problmes
  • Matrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
  • Solide matrise de langlais pour une communication efficace avec diverses parties prenantes
